For tourists, the Little
Mermaid and Tivoli Gardens have long been the main attractions in Copenhagen. But
for legislators, shipowners, engine developers and engine builders, Research Center
Copenhagen (RCC) is the Danish capital’s real attraction. Because the decarbonization
of shipping is an absolute necessity for these interest groups. RCC is making a
significant contribution towards bringing about the switch to environmentally friendly
and safe solutions for the future. With its broad-based team of experts, RCC has
a key role in the overall development and testing of dual-fuel technologies for
MAN ES’s two-stroke portfolio.
Visitors to RCC are given
an introduction to its most important areas: the fuel supply systems, the control
room and the RCC #1 two-stroke engine, on which tests are carried out in full scale.
