Double-digit growth in
every business segment
The Front End
organization concentrates on the unique customer experience and long-term
customer relationships based on mutual trust. We provide the most innovative technologies
and support our customers throughout the product life cycle. The new
organizational structure means that we have direct access to the customer, but
also full responsibility. That is to say, we cultivate intensive customer
contact for all our products and services, and respond with the best solutions
in the shortest time. We are sensible of this responsibility and know that we
can rely on the rest of the organization for support. We aspire to retain all
our customers and generate additional business with new customers with a view
to achieving double-digit growth in every business segment.
We will only achieve growth with teamwork
The Front End
organization relocates expertise to the regions, creating the conditions for
generating more revenue and, with it, higher EBIT. But only if we accept
responsibility for order intake. I am extremely proud of my regional team,
which spares no effort when it comes to giving our customers the best possible
service. We will only achieve growth with teamwork, and cooperation between the
Front End and the segments is vital in this respect. I am proud to be part of a
team where everyone wants the best for the company. My personal focus will be
on New Solutions, as I believe it will be the most important growth segment in
the next few years. If we combine our core segments intelligently with what
H-TEC, Cryo, Deggendorf and AKA have to offer, for example, we can deliver the
best energy solutions in Region Asia Pacific.
A strong team made up of regions and segments
Result orientation and
customer satisfaction are the top priority. Every sales and service team that I
work with in Region Europe and the segments is fully focused on achieving our
corporate objectives. The regions and segments make up a team that together is
greater than the sum of its individual parts. The most important factor for our
success is the continuing support received by our motivated sales team from
committed experts in the segments, marketing, product development and service.
This is vital if we are to give our customers a positive experience. Thanks to
our committed team and the intensive cooperation between the regions and
segments, I have no doubt that we will exploit our potential to the full.
Our local set-up is
takes us closer to the customer. Our global network is without equal and we
need to use that. More decision-making power for the regions makes us leaner,
faster and more efficient. The regions used to be more like satellites that
mainly provided logistics and networking, while the technical know-how remained
at head office. That was inefficient. Customer intimacy and in-house technical
expertise have dramatically improved market penetration in the regions. Our
able employees have the requisite know-how for our region, they speak the
language and know the local idiosyncrasies. We will therefore expand our
service network and also operate in difficult countries where others give up.
