An exciting HR program makes it possible to work at a different site and learn from colleagues.

Laura Miehle is in charge of the International Rotation program and supports colleagues before and during their stay abroad
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work face to face with the colleagues you normally only meet via Teams? There is now a program to facilitate precisely that: International Rotation. It allows employees to set up their workstation at a site in another country temporarily. “It is possible to stay for up to three months,” Laura Miehle, who is heading up the program in HR, explains. “The primary goal is to establish personal contact with a department in another country,” says Laura. International Rotation means a change of perspective and mutual understanding. Twelve colleagues have already taken part since the program was rolled out for the whole MAN ES group in 2024. So far, Germany and Denmark have been the most popular destinations for participants, but Laura Miehle and her colleagues from Global Mobility are encouraging potential candidates to be creative and explore diverse options. Colleagues who are interested should develop a business case justifying the expense together with their boss. “The program promotes personal development, but one thing has to be clear: Participants are not going as tourists,” Laura Miehle points out. “There has to be a definite benefit for the department and the company. If the criteria are met, the program is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career.”
