The Employer Branding campaign has been under way since autumn 2023 and relies on the participation of numerous colleagues. Two of them explain why they are happy to be ambassadors for MAN Energy Solutions.
It is not just among young people that working for a company that offers inspiring products and makes a positive contribution to climate protection is becoming more and more important. Experienced skilled workers are increasingly looking for a job that provides a sense of meaning and purpose too. It is this very need that the Employer Branding campaign is addressing, and many colleagues have volunteered to represent our company in this context, including Marie Brinkgaard and Sandro Toldo. In this article, they explain what motivated them to take this step.
Sandro Toldo,
Head of Vocational Training in Zurich:
I’ve been with the company for 15 years and even did my apprenticeship here. Now I’m the person in charge of vocational training, giving me the chance to influence young people’s future career path. I see being comfortable in a team as very important. I don’t just want to enjoy work, but the sense of fellowship too. And I want to be able to pursue and implement my own ideas. That’s what I value in an employer, and that’s the culture I find at MAN Energy Solutions. Unfortunately, we’re not yet as well known as a company in Zurich as I would like, despite our factory being in the city center. Engineers and technicians know about us, but we need to reach the general public. We are, after all, an innovation leader with products like subsea compression and large-scale industrial heat pumps. That makes me proud. And it’s noticeable among young people as well that they consider it important to work for a company like us. We can build on that.

Marie Brinkgaard,
Head of HR International in Copenhagen:
So many people work for MAN Energy Solutions and they all share a common idea with our strategy. That makes me proud. At the same time, I consider it important for us to show the opportunities that MAN Energy Solutions offers employees. We have an incredible product portfolio, a large number of technologies and now different solutions too, plus a value chain that covers everything from research and development, through engineering, design, production and sales, to the various group functions that support it all. This complexity makes every one of us a vital part of the company. We can only move big things together. That being said, in Denmark our company is still something of a rough diamond and there’s a great deal of competition on the job market. We therefore have the task of visibly promoting decarbonization and our agenda, and demonstrating that we walk the walk, so that more people get to know MAN Energy Solutions. I want to show just how strong our sense of solidarity is and how we as colleagues shape our corporate culture. We may not have achieved our goal yet, but we’re well on our way.
